Comic/Writer

Fast paced, smart, high-energy, and just plain funny, that's Vito Lantz live. Since 1998 Vito has been winning over audiences with his clever material and social commentary, separating himself from the herd of unoriginal "dinosaurs" posing as comedians. Vito's ability to tackle any subject and his dedication to new material keeps his act as fresh as the daily headlines.

While maintaining a completely original act, and point of view, Vito's comedy is strongly influenced by greats like Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Bill Hicks. Like his comedy mentors, Vito believes if you're not pissed off at the world today, you're just not paying attention. The results of his rage are hilarious.

During the five years he worked out of Chicago Vito had the chance to write and perform at the world famous "Second City Theater." The intelligent approach to comedy at "Second City" helped to shape Vito's act, keeping him away from the predictable and easy laughs that most comics live on. While in Chicago Vito got to work as a writer and cast member for the local cable television show, "Full Body Wag," and with the successful sketch comedy team, "Straight, No Chaser." He also worked as head writer for "Si Me Gusta," a critically acclaimed show that ran at Second City's Sketch Fest.

Since 2004 Vito has been working out of New York City and has quickly become a regular at many of the best clubs in Manhattan. He was recently featured as a performer in the 2005 New York City Underground Comedy Festival, and continues to try and save the world one set at a time. In addition to his work in New York City, Vito still performs at comedy clubs and colleges around the country, supporting the release of his first comedy CD, "Cursed With Vision."
